Tree Pruning

Tree pruning, also called tree trimming, is an essential element in maintaining balance, structural strength, and long-term health in a tree situated within an urban environment.

Special consideration should always be given to the three target 'P' areas within the tree's range: people, property, and possessions. Wind dynamics within these urban areas affect how a tree canopy receives wind loading and how it is distributed.

Tree Structural Reductions

Tree Structural reductions are used where specific trees have outgrown their immediate environment but want to be retained. Often the onset of age decline (senescence) means a decrease in height and leverage can extend the safe life of a tree for many more years.

​Proactive tree care is always the preferred option, and there are many ways in which this can be applied, given the tree species and its environment. A professional assessment for this type of work is essential as it requires a particular skill set for both the correct diagnosis and application of the work to be carried out.

Sonic Tomography

Sonic Tomography, a tree scan, reveals the internal condition of a tree throughout a vast portion of the stem.  By better understanding the structural integrity of a tree, you have a more accurate sense of the level of risk the tree represents and can determine the best course of action to take.

Chlorophyll Fluorescence

Chlorophyll fluorescence can very quickly and easily determine the photosynthetic capacity of a tree according to its current state of health and assess its health and vitality. Chlorophyll Fluorescence is a technique used to detect physiological damage caused by biotic or abiotic stress factors and ensures early detection of stress that could lead to decline well before visible symptoms manifest

Soil Testing

Soil testing matters to your plants, trees, and lawns.  It reveals the nutrients your soil contains and the pH level of your soil. The results from a soil test remove the guesswork out of fertilizing and fixing any nutrient issues. Soil pH is essential in plant and tree growth because it affects nutrient availability. Many plants and trees tolerate a wide pH range, although they do best when planted in suitable soil.
